Eleven original rags, arranged for piano, two guitars, banjo, brass, violin, and bass and realized on synthesizers. Some are in the style and mood of classic Ragtime, while others definitely are not, and throughout are hints of classical influences.
The program includes my first composition, Fenway Rag, which I wrote when I was 12, and Flying Fiddle Rag, composed 30 years later in 2006. You'll find some experiments with theme and variations, perpetuum mobile, an occasional tango or rhumba, and even a bit of minimalism at the end of Flying Fiddle.
I will ship the CD in a slimline case with a 4-panel insert with notes on the music. The playing time is about 50 minutes.
